The Federal Reserve’s inspector general found no grounds for a criminal referral over its renovation project, Reuters reported on 30 September. The review identified deficiencies, while Donald Trump renewed his call for Jerome Powell’s resignation. Administrative shortcomings and criminal wrongdoing are different findings.
