Can Kohli still reach 100 centuries?

At 86 international hundreds, the arithmetic is simple. The challenge is not.
ICC’s 30 September rankings report records Virat Kohli’s 55th ODI century and his 86th across international formats. That leaves 14 to reach 100, and 15 to move beyond Sachin Tendulkar’s landmark. IPL hundreds are not part of this total.
The remaining opportunity depends on ODI appearances, fitness, form and career decisions. A scenario illustrates the difficulty. Fourteen hundreds in 40 additional innings would require a century in 35 per cent of them. That is a calculation, not a prediction or a confirmed schedule.
The sensible answer is that the milestone remains mathematically possible. Whether it is likely requires more than admiration. Each additional hundred reduces the gap, but a finite playing calendar increases the pressure. India’s results should remain the first measure of his contribution.
