Cabinet approves higher support prices for rabi crops
Safflower receives the largest absolute increase among the announced crop revisions.
Akashvani News reported on 30 September 2026 that the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs approved higher minimum support prices for mandated rabi crops for the 2027–28 marketing season.
The reported increases per quintal are ₹675 for safflower, ₹413 for rapeseed and mustard, ₹390 for lentil, ₹136 for barley, ₹83 for gram and ₹25 for wheat. These figures describe increases, not the final support prices.
